Description
For those of you who haven't seen my previous works on this, I am a HUGE fan of the Puppet Master Film series, granted none of them are gems and the series has had it's upsides as well as it's downs *cough* Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys *coughs* But the latest film... The Littlest Reich is nothing short of massive dump on anything good the older films had. They took unique, memorable horror characters and they turned them into forgettable, badly designed, canon fodder!!! So... in order to both make myself recall the better moments of this film series and give these guys the respect they deserve, I present to you MY personal reboot of the little wooden terrors, with a few added OCs thrown into the mix to give them some more variety.ΒNOTE: Individual names and pics will be posted within the next few days so stay tuned

I love this. Puppet Master is one of my all time favorite movie and to see that someone still has a love for the film makes me happy. I love Blade's design the most.

Though I have to ask, why are their eyes purple? is that something to do with the serum or does it follow the lines of the Little Reich movie. (In my opinion that movie was just bad, liked the puppets, but not on how the story follows the movie.)

Oh Serum for sure, trust I want my version to have as little to do with that abomination of a movie as possible

I must confess as well. Β I had high expectations for The Littlest Reich. Β Sure, I thought the puppets quality was somewhat questionable, I maintained hope that the film will do just fine.
After glancing at some footage and a few of the deaths...

My faith was dashed to pieces. Β First, the Puppet Master comic ended (have every issue sans the Halloween specials) and now this travesty.
I too shall hold on to the classics. Β Maybe Charles Band will create a new entry, that will rectify the Littlest Reich mistake.
Also, interesting new Puppets.

Regarding puppets or movies?

Fav puppet is Jester. I also like the originals in 1-5. Β And to a lesser extent, the Retros. And I have a small spot for the Axis of Evil Ninja.
Film, so far its a three way tie for the first three entries. Β I'm REALLY hoping for a modern day PM film. Β The Nazi's and WWII have been done to death.
Would you like to know my favorite comic arc from Action Lab Comics?

Its the Blood Debt arc. Where Anthony becomes the new puppet master, and must battle Anapa, Sutekh's son and a legion of possessed dolls.

Hell, the idea was practically gift-wrappedΒ for these guys and they didn't take advantage, hell I'll bet the actors knew this film was going the bomb so that's why most of the performances in that movie are s**t

My apologies, are we talking about the comic arc or something else, because I don't think we are on the same page. I'm confused.

I only saw the first quarter. And I spoiled myself in advance with the puppet kills on the wiki, what set it off for me was the autogyro puppet decapitating the guy while urinating and the MAJOR one was the murder of the pregnant woman.
And if I recall, yeah the acting was a bit bland.

Oh you don't need to tell me that, and while I admit the kills are definitely gory and somewhat create at times, the fact remains that they're cheapened by the fact it's being done by puppets that not only don't look at all like their original counterparts (aside from the 2d clipart at the beginning-which makes no sense) but alsoΒ have several varying copies of themselves, I mean, there are three versions of Blade alone in this flick!

Oy vey...
Well for all intents and purposes and the PM fan that I am, I refuse to see that entry.
And yeah the creativity of the kills feels diminished.

I agree with you. They made Toulon a Nazi, which goes against cannon right off the bat. And who was the idiot who thought casting Thomas Lemmon was a good idea? I, too love Puppet Master, but my all-time favorite Horror franchise is Hellraiser. Just sharing like one other guy did.

Agreed, Toulon BEING a Nazi was a terrible idea! And don't even get me started on whatΒ they did to him and the END of the movie. And WHY did they make so many puppets for this? WOrse, why did they make carbon copies of each of them!?! It's like I said, they took uniqueΒ horror characters and reduced them to cannon fodder. And the new puppets aren't that much better I STILL have no idea what the hell that pump thing was supposed to be

Tremors is my favorite too! In fact, it's the only "scary" movie I can watch. Of course, the first one is always the best one.

Cool, I find them all just to be really silly but fun. And the actor for that one guy who's now in all the movies is just the best at it
