I'm happy to present today my Sculpt of "Harry" the hero of the new Steambotstudios.com [link] artbook very soon (being printed right now).The concept is from my good friends and great artists Joel dos reis viegas AKA Feerik [link] and Thierry Doizon AKA Barontieri [link]
I sculpted and posed him with zbrush 3.1

really nice. i just started using Z brush myself and am fast realizing it's high speed workflow and level of interactivity that you can achieve with the tools. cant wait to really get into it. it's people like you that inspire people like me to keep trying

although undoubtedly briliant, the muscles look wrong in places where the form suggests rest, but the muscles suggest tension. (left arm, right calf)
this is of course being knit-picky, but when the work is this good, knit-picky is ok i think.

It appears to have been sculpted in a Greek style (I can't remember the term just now) in which all of the muscles are tense. It's arguably unrealistic, but it's nothing new or unusual and not necessarily accidental.

Thanks! no it's a standard sss skin in 3dsmax rendered with mental ray on the left! and on the right it's a standard material in zbrush.
