At the end of episode 12, Touka has a sign on it that says 'RE' on it. 'RE' is the sequel to the Tokyo Ghoul manga, and it's still ongoing.

Yup, i'm reading it too, but since TGA has original story, i think anime TGR will be changed a lot to fit TGA
I expect they will remake TG first then animate the sequel later. The manga has so much character development, foreshadowing, details, ... that had been cut in anime

I know and I'm happy that Hidekane was confirm and won as the supreme OTP *sobs* but why?! Why must Hide pay for it though? He should have still be alive and living happy with Kaneki, he not suppose to die, why must they kill him off. It hurt, I have just found my sunshine and now he gone, this is just too cruel. *Sob* I hope against all hope that he is still alive in the manga because dear lord, if Ishida-sensei kill him off there too I think I'm going to hang myself. I need my dose of sunshine and Hide is my life and he so precious. I want to protect and cuddle him from harm *sob* but Hide! You should have been allow to enjoyed your youth more!!! By the way have you hear about the new that Pierrot Studio is going to anime Tokyo Ghoul: Jack and Tokyo Ghoul: Re? I was hopping they stop after TG:Jack but no they have to animated :Re as well? This is going to be a disaster but I hope that Ishida-sensei would troll us and brought Hide back, it would be so nice if he did, then again I'm hoping too much. So what do you think? I'm for once not excited about it.

~UPDATE~ It was not confirmed that he died I'm not saying that he didn't but I never really saw him die, when kaneki cried and a tear fell on Hide he smiled, so he must have still been alive, but just barely

But he might have been killed of in the Manga, I'm not sure I haven't read it yet

When i was watching ep 12 online, i liked "WhAT IS gOIng on??? sTOP PLs Kaneki!! NO HIDE!!!" and my net downed for an hour and i was not able to watch it until next morning. What a terrible torture ; u ; Ishida-sensei meant to do that to us i sw e ar
I saw the RE announcement on Tumblr too but there are some user has confirmed it just a edited picture of this   so im not sure if RE will be animated or not BUT IF IT GONNA HAPPEN, PLEASE DONT START EP 1 IN HOSPITAL AND BOTH HIDE AND KANEKI ARE THERE AND THEY DONT REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT EACH OTHER

OH GOD I GONNA EXPLODE 

TGA had a really bad ending so i hope they will remake it first then the sequel later ...  : ((
