I had to buy at least 10 different copies of Pokemon Silver before I found one that wasn't corrupted.
All of the others kept deleting my save file, but I finally got one that actually worked.
The same thing happened with my Ruby game, except for I got only one copy, and I STILL haven't found another one that worked
