The fail is strong with this one.
Even though it took me like 5 or 6 hours all in all to finish coloring alone

Meh, oh well. I'm happy I finished. It turned out better than I thought it would, in any case.

The crispness of the air around the land seemed to mingle with the general mood of the Exiles Herd. The charred remains of what was once an island teeming with life seemed laughable now. How had their good fortune leaped so far into space? It was a good question, one that must have been asked numerous times all throughout. Indeed, a figure stood atop the jagged beach above a small fraction of the equines left behind, wondering similar thoughts. His eyes scanned the horizon, as if searching for answers which were just out of reach.

The stallion, Tucker, sighed with resignation. How had he managed to fail so miserably? He was allowed the honor of being a guard because he was trusted to protect the horses who had once saved his own life so long ago. But how was he supposed to fight the one thing which cannot be driven away - mother nature? The answer to that was painfully obvious. You weren't. You were supposed to sit there and take it, find a resolution else where. But even still. Even through all the suffering, all the misery, all the desperation... Even whilst many had already died in the flames, and quite a number of others were growing fatally thin from starvation... Tucker couldn't see how they would dare to turn to the Bachelors for help.

They couldn't be trusted. They just... they just couldn't. The Irish Hunter dug his hoof into the mulled over sand below, gritting his teeth in frustration. He knew the journey had been a bad idea. He knew. And yet... he hadn't spoken out against it. Because he also knew that desperation drove many a horse to do what was perhaps not the smartest option. Oh, how well he knew that. Even as his vision fell on Kanu and Baene, the last two stallions to join the journeyers, Tucker's ears pinned backwards in sadness. He didn't feel hunger. Not yet. All he felt was a sort of dull dread. He feared for those who had been chosen to make the journey. He silently fretted for their lives.

He had the scars and the trauma to prove that the Bachelors were ruthless. He'd never told anyone the full story of his past, and he doubted he would any time soon. But as much as he tried to shove it down, bury it until it could never see the light of his consciousness again... it nagged at him like an open wound. And the source of his fear seemed all too evident, all too possible.

He was frightened that the ones who were chosen to endure the trek to the Bachelor's Island would not make it back alive. And as much as tried to quell this emotion, too, just as he did with most of his other feelings and thoughts, it came back to him constantly. Even as he looked upon the burnt grass, the seemingly lifeless faces of the equines nearby, he felt it.
