hey man !! that's not cool !! Maria Reynolds didn’t intentionally start a “thing” with Hamilton to lead to the “Reynolds Pamphlet” out of spite. She was forced by her husband (James) because he saw the opportunity of blackmailing Alex so HE could get money. She couldn’t SAY NO because her husband threatened he'd hurt their child if she didn't comply. Maria was USED and ABUSED. She probably felt she had NO SAY in the situation she was in. I think if she could say something, SHE WOULD’VE SAID NO.
also not to mention be was forced to marry him at age 15 !! he would regularly rape her and beat her. Maria also sent a letter to Alexander before James's letter saying "Oh my God I feel more for you than myself and wish I had never been born to give you so much unhappiness".
