bwahahaha! XD please meet my latest ship!the first pic in my massive upcoming update, because it is in desperate need of some fanart and fanfics.
yes, it's paul/shinji and barry/jun from the pokemon anime. a bit odd, considering my usual choice in pairings (shounen-ai is not very high on my list at all), but i totally adore it anyway.
the whole irony of it is that i don't even watch the anime anymore. i only discovered this because i decided to watch the episode where barry appears, since he's totally f***ing awesome in the games. his fanboying over paul amused me greatly. XD
i wasn't to serious about the ship before (i just found the thought of it hilarious), but then i read a coldcoffeeshipping oneshot, and it was just about the most adorable fic i have ever read. X3 needless to say, it completely converted me.
now, about the pic. the anatomy is a little bit off, but that doesn't bother me too much. the outfits might be a little off also, but that really doesn't matter either. and paul's not too bad for my first attempt at him. barry's not that bad either; i enjoy drawing him like the obsessive fanboy he is. XP
logically thinking, this pairing would probably NEVER work because of their super clashing personalities (paul would probably sooner throw a rock at barry's head than be in a relationship with him XD), but when has logic ever been an issue in fandom? anyway, their clashing personalities are what makes it so friggin' hilarious in the first place.
find it weird if you want, but i don't really care because this is the most lol-worthy pairing i have ever found, and i love it to bits. X)

This is absolutely delightful! I love Paul's expression and Barry's, 'CAUSE THEY'RE TOTALLY IN CHARACTER. AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SHOULD/WILL HAPPEN IN THE SHOW. 'Cause if they don't make Barry fanboy over Paul....well, there will be a whole ton of coldcoffee fans who won't be happy. >D

i thought she did such a good job keeping them in character, while still making it work. X3 and i also liked it because she kept them in the pokemon world; of the very few coldcoffeeshipping fics i've found, several of them were AU's. >.<

and ooooh, thank you! i must read it now but so far it looks like there's an excellent job at keeping them in character. u-uh... i-i like the AU fanfics though. AUs = my guilty pleasure... i love them in a sense BUT THE ORIGINAL POKEMON TOO. it's nice to have a few AUs in a while but... c'mon, what're you supposed to base the AUs on with no original oneees? D:
