Since I don't have a scanner, I had to take a picture with my camera! I hope you can still see some of the details.Hands are more and more fun to draw every time! With practice, things tend to come out surprisingly better over time.
And I really needed to practise drawing hands, so I made my mother, her husband, and little sister pose for me!
any advice and criticism is welcome and appreciated.

Oh, wow! Those top four hands really feel fluid and lifelike, and those are some difficult poses to get right. I also really like the balled fist, it feels like it has definite weight and tension to it.
The bottom two hands that are in a more open position feel odd to me for some reason; I think it's the shape of the middle finger and last finger on both of them. The middle finger on the hand in the bottom left corner seems especially stubby and strangely bent, though I realize that could be because you ran out of room on the page (I hate when that happens!) However, I love how you've gotten the detail of the inner carpal bones and tendons on those two bottom hands; it really makes them feel like living flesh rather than strictly 2D images.
All in all, I think it was a very successful practice session

First of all thank you for the advice and criticism, it's more appreciated than what you think! While drawing the top hands I was just starting to draw, and naturally I was more willing to keep on drawing. But, since hands are quite the task to get right, all my motivation and inspiration drained away by the time I was drawing the two bottom hand. And you're right! I ran out of paper <.< I made the mistake of not planning the drawing first, so I had to make it fit somehow. Also, it's a child's hand, that's why it's not as long and elegant as the other ones. My little seven yeared old sister's hands are small
. And oh, God the middle finger of the bottom right hand is too short and wierd, I totally understand what you were trying to say.
*sigh* a few more years of practice and I'll be mastering hands
thanks again for the rich and constructive review! The tendons and wrinkles really saved the bottom hands from looking completely awful.

Haha, I totally get inspiration drain-- it's the worst thing when you're really trying to improve on something!
Ah, it makes sense that it was a child's hand, the proportions make more sense to me now XD
You're very welcome! I certainly can't do so well at hands yet, perhaps one day I'll muster up the courage to work on them myself

I've browsed around your gallery and I can tell you're a very accomplished artist. Good luck on those hands!
