it's up to you weather you take this seriously or not. ok?I'm comparing SAkura to Kushina because they're both Tsundere,
And Karin to Mikoto because Mikoto's height is the same as Karin's, and they also share blood types.
Besides, I'm a sasukarin and Narusaku fan.

Karin and Mikoto are alike in personalities? XDDD No, the faces maybe, and kishimoto does a lot of expressions the same way, but personalities? mikoto was a caring, patient, motherly woman on almost every scene, who was only stern when Itachi didn't do his homework in ONE scene. Mostly she was gentle, supportive, and perfectly alright with not being a ninja and staying home while her husband and children fought. Karin is loud, passionate and argumentative, and she is ambitious. ... Also she has that semi-rapist vibe going on which I really never saw with Mikoto. XD
I agree they look a lot like each other though, but that's because Sasuke is his mother with spiky hair and Karin is like a long-haired version of Sasuke. You take off karin's glasses and only look at the shorter, ragged side of her hair instead of the smooth one and she's basically girl-sasuke.

There are lots of ways to be a caring mother, and I don't think Karin and Mikoto would have the same behavior at all. Mikoto was gentle. Karin would be a lot more stern and energetic. they look like each other but they really don't have the same personality. I don't see Mikoto having two faces like Karin has, as well. (note, i really like karin, but it's true she changes between flirtatious and super aggressive and bossy very often. Mikoto was never shown doing anything like that.)

You are correct they are very similar to each other. I mean both Kushina and Sakura both have the same drawing designs. Their eye,nose, and hair split ends designs are pretty much the same.
Even with Karin and Mikoto are the same. The hair color are different but the hair design, the eye design without the irises.
Either Kishimoto is doing this on purpose or he's being very oblivious to the details. The way we can know is if someone ask him and I don't if that will ever happen.
