Pandora,
the RDA ordered a swift strike on one of the Na'vi settlements in order to clear the area for ground-troops and an extensive mining operation. The mountain is known to contain a vast store of a mineral called unobtanium.
Not particularly a fan of the Avatar movie but the universe Cameron created is inspiring indeed.

Never understood why they couldn't have dropped an orbital bombardment on the eywa tree at the end of the movie

It was soley rendered with the Vue render engine. It's a powerful engine, but nothing compared to Vray and others....

Oh yes, very inspiring, for scenes of brutal massacre inflicted upon the Navi.

Great picture. Storyline of the movie was very cliche, but a lot of the vehicles and the like were awsome.

YAY, some more Valkyrie love! Your art is fantastic and seeing three of them flying together makes me orgasm (not ashamed XD ). I was really pissed that they barely talked about it in Bluray's special features.
Again, amazing job. FAV!

Very cool.
I love the view of the ships, and the movement they convey is very effective.
I love the cloud coverage below, and the colours look great.

Thanks Howard, I appreciate your comment.. this took quite some time and as a matter of fact I'm still rendering a better quality version, just another 8 hours to go

My bueno! Although the Valkerie shuttles were never intended as bombers, Quaritch was breaking about 50 rules when he jury-rigged that one...

Yeah, well, if I remember correctly it was even used as a combat vehicle in the movies, afterall, when there is war everything goes. Yet the Valkyrie ships are still the ones used to transport the unobtanium, I leave it to the observer to decide its role in this particular image.
