Been a long time since I've painted my favorite video game character and one of my biggest inspirations.I might give him a background later.. but till then.. enjoy

This is still one of my favorite pieces, I was going to do a ryu piece for a sketchjam submission, and your old ryu concept kept coming to mind...this however is what I'd expect him to look like, and honestly my favorite part is that he looks like he travels. he has wear and tear. and I don't care what anyone says, the sandals were a good addition.

Exellent job. Just wondering though, why did you decide to give Ryu sandals? Quote from Ryu (SFIV) in versus mode "Shoes? No, I can't certainly afford them. I go barefoot for comfort."

thought it won't be very comfortable to step on a piece of chewed gum or dog poo with barefoot
wanted to bring in some sort of change.. he used to wear shoes anyways(street fighter 1).

speaking of "boss" I would be very happy if Ryu becomes the final/hidden boss of Street Fighter 5 like Gouken.
I don't want him to be selectable from the start(the only selectable shoto/ansatsuken being Ken).. will be happy if they make him an unlockable boss character.
of course I would want him to be far more powerful than what we have seen in previous games.
