The Avatar movie concept Β is based on Indian mythology. Avatar is an indian word meaning incarnation. Indian god vishnu has 10 incarnations and he is said to have blue skin and some of his avatars also do.The title and the Β appearance,concept of donning a Na'avi avatar are inspired from these epics.
