If you look at Bomberman 64 it has a similar camera angle and controls.

Looks good. Definitely one of the more unique projects I've seen in a while. Though, maybe consider adding something that allows you to tell depth. It could be an issue.

May need some special texturing on the edges of grassy floor surfaces to differentiate closer, higher elevations from the further, lower elevations. That or a faint outline of the environment that only renders on top of the floor surfaces. I could easily see a player moving away from the camera only to fall into a pit that they couldn't see. Either way it looks great!
