Description

The Nava-Verse is a multi-planar setting created after the return of God at the ending of the original universe (Earth). After the final judgment of humanity and the ultimate triumph of Good over Evil on Earth, the entirety of existence was reborn, into a second incarnation of the universe. This reset was not even entirely God's doing, but influenced by the very Primal Energies present at the very epicenter of Existence.

Earth was created as the one primary center of meaningful life in the First Universe. Humanity was the only sentient race originally created by God. Any other extraterrestrial life in the old universe (and there were only a few cases) had been the spawn of either the Primal Energies, Lucifer, or some other unknown source of life-giving power. The Nava-Verse, on the other hand, teems with a multitude of inhabited planets within feasible traveling distance from one another, and with the resources needed to facilitate such transport more readily available to their inhabitants than they had been to the Humans. Additionally, all these planets are significantly smaller than Earth; most roughly equal in inhabited area to a moderately large country. God never intended Humanity to leave their home planet, and made Earth as enormous as it was to support the one all-encompassing population. When the Nava-Verse was created, He intentionally made numerous smaller planets with numerous sentient races as an experiment, for lack of a better term. In the time of Humanity, the entire universe beyond Earth was in fact randomly generated and continually expanded by the Primal Energies, and mostly devoid of life or purpose. The inhabited planets of the Nava-Verse are all located within what is known as the Prime Galaxy, which is divided into eight parts: the Alpha Octant, the Beta Octant, the Gamma Octant, the Delta Octant, the Epsilon Octant, the Zeta Octant, the Sigma Octant and the Omega Octant. Everything that exists beyond this galaxy is almost completely empty of life, and spread out so astronomically far that exploration by mortals is impossible.

The other major difference between the Nava-Verse and the original world is that there are consistent links between the mortal universe, the Heavens and the Underworld, both of which also underwent complete transformations after the end of the old world. Contact with demons and angels by mortals is a fairly common occurrence. The original Heaven and Hell still contain the souls of all humans, but exist in a plane beyond the "normal" Heavens and Underworld, completely inaccessible to the inhabitants of the new universe. God the Father Himself resides in the original Heaven, from which He and only He has the ability to observe and communicate with the beings in the new incarnation of the Heavens, who themselves are His only link with the physical Prime Galaxy. As was in the original universe, God rarely if ever intervenes with the affairs of the Nava-Verse, wishing His creations to be as accountable for themselves as possible. Meanwhile, Lucifer continues to burn eternally in the Lake of Fire with the billions of damned human souls, and has no power at all even over the current Underworld and its demons.

The Supernatural forces of Good and Evil in the Nava-Verse are evenly matched with one another, and have a much more complex hierarchy than their ancient counterparts. The supreme forces of Good, below God Himself, are the Four Heavenly Lords, who can directly communicate with Him and help bring the virtues of Order, Justice, Tolerance, and Integrity to the universe. The Heavenly Realms resemble a massive, multi-layered city floating above the edge of the Galaxy, populated by numerous angels and other divine beings; some of these angels are "Pureblood", brought into existence by the supernatural forces that make up the Heavens, while others are born from the ascended souls of righteous mortals. The Underworld mirrors this. Hell is ruled by the Four Dark Lords, supremely powerful demon masterminds who serve the fundamental evils of Malevolence, Corruption, Oppression and Violence. The leader among the four Dark Lords is Satan, who is the Lord of Malevolence. This Satan is not Lucifer, but an original being entirely, a truly powerful creature of Darkness and a master over all things evil. However, there is one even more evil and powerful than him, and that is Genome, the Lord of Corruption.

The Underworld is a vast multi-realm consisting of both prisons of eternal torment and savage wastelands where all manner of wild demons roam. All these zones intersect in the City of Drenn, an elaborate city of sentient demons. There are numerous races of "Pureblood" demons, most notably the 7 Deadly Sins Class, as well as other races which are hybrids between true demons and mortal creatures, as well as those born from the damned souls of truly evil and great individuals. To be reborn as a demon in the Underworld, a mortal must be a truly exceptional agent of sin, a paradigm of the utter depravity which only certain mortals are capable of. Thus, those people who are merely sinful and not accepting of God are simply doomed to an eternal, pathetic and irredeemable existence among demons, while to BECOME a demon someone has to be truly EVIL. Note that when a mortal-spawned demon, known as a Wraith, is killed, the soul of that evil person is DESTROYED and they cease to exist completely. Truly evil people who are not strong–willed or powerful enough to become demons go to Genome's Abyss of Infinite Death instead, which is worse than the Satan's Plane of Torture where "normal" damned souls go. There may also be a random element to this.

The above-mentioned Seven Deadly Sins Class is the most prevalent "Kingdom" in the demon world. Obviously, they correspond to the Seven Deadly Sins of mortals: Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth and Wrath. For each sin there exist five distinct demon species: a Lesser and a Greater "Beast" (which resemble "animals" more than humanoids), a Lesser and a Greater "Being" (Humanoid, sentient demons), and one "Archfiend" race, who ostensibly rule over all the other demons in their respective "Families". In total, the Deadly Sins encompass 35 species, all of which are numerous in population and have been around since the rebirth of the universe, if not before even then in different forms. They are characterized by embodying both the evil corrupting forces to which sinning can be attributed, and the traits associated with indulgence in the various sins they respectively represent. Pride demons are narcissistic and egotistical, which is reflected in their extravagant and decorated appearance, Lust demons are themselves obsessed with sex, Greed demons all are inherently attracted to money in some way, and Sloth demons tend to be relatively weak and useless due to laziness. The Deadly Sin Demons were created imperfect in the same way as mortals, so their behavior and roles sometimes fall short of true malevolence and/or don't serve any obvious, constructive purpose. Sometimes.

The Dimensional Rifts connecting the mortal universe to the Heavens and the Underworld are located at the very top and bottom rims of the Prime Galaxy, respectively. The amount of energy (in forms ranging from simple transmissions from the "other side" to the physical teleportation of Angels/mortals/demons between each other's native realms) that can pass through the rifts between realms is limited and defined by a rate of how amount over elapsed time; i.e. whenever nothing is using them the rifts slowly build up potential energy, and when things pass through them it uses up energy. If not enough energy is currently available to send something, they'd have to wait until the universe generated enough energy to handle the transport. This is the reason why Angels and Demons do not run rampant in the mortal universe trying to tip the scales of Good and Evil to either side's favor. On all sides of the gateways, "border patrols" of a sort are stationed to regulate and keep track of what passes through, making sure dimensional boundaries are crossed and precious energy used only for important and relevant purposes.

The planets in the Prime Galaxy mostly support independent societies. Generally most planets' biospheres have been relatively untouched by mass land development, and contain wild environments with the occasional sentient tribes, while only a handful of planets contain fully developed and sufficiently advanced civilizations. Every single planet has its own unique host of native beings, and all mortal creatures in the Nava-Verse are original and not carried over from the original Earth (or any other realm). As a distinction between unintelligent animals, all sentient, sapient races are known as Humanoids. The holy scripture that is generally adhered to by the civilizations of the Nava-Verse and which is known and circulated across virtually all its planets is known simply as The Next Testament. This body of work teaches many of the same things as the original Bible, contains documentation of the genesis and early history of the Nava-Verse, and most notably is the only credible source of specific information about the original version of the universe, including Earth and Humanity, that exists in and is known to the inhabitants of the Nava-Verse. Key events from Earth are referred to in cryptic, mysterious terms, much like many events described in the original Bible such as the Fall of Man and even including some historical information from that Bible. This mystifying, ancient information regarding their precursors is obviously held as extremely important by the people of the new universe, though some of their generally held interpretations of the texts about Earth may or may not be less than accurate.

The timescale used in the Prime Galaxy is the system of Relative Age. Periods are measured in "years" counted in consecutive positive integers, starting from zero, with the form of "Age (Year #) Relative". One year as measured in the Prime Galaxy is slightly longer than what humans would know as a year, equivalent to approximately 400 Earth days and divided equally into ten "Cycles". The starting point for this timescale is neither the start of the Nava-Verse nor the time of some singular world-changing event, but rather it starts from the point at which the Relative Age timescale was invented, by mortals on the planet of Qollag in the Epsilon Octant, presumably very early in the Prime Galaxy's history since they were the first ones to conceive the idea of an interplanetary timekeeping system.

Besides Angels, Demons and Mortals, there is one other important and totally unique group of beings inhabiting the Nava-Verse, and these beings are Primal Deities. They are chaotic, amoral, supernatural, immortal and extremely powerful beings who are living products of the utterly uncontrollable Primal Energies and emerge from the nether beyond the edge of the Prime Galaxy. These entities are false gods who seek the worship and loyalty of mortals, passively emit an aura that makes those around them more susceptible to coercion, and grow more and more powerful as their number of worshippers increases, to the point of eventually developing actual reality-warping powers. Primal Deities are the forces responsible for the existence of cults in a universe where God explicitly exists; in most cases they begin their rise to power simply by reaching the mind of one individual and commanding that person to spread word of the Primal Deity's will to others. From there, they are capable of eventually conquering and indoctrinating entire planets.

And finally, any being that is even more alien than a Primal Deity is known as an Abomination. An Abomination is the ultimate anomaly of the Nava-Verse, constituting an individual truly unlike any other that has ever existed, often a gargantuan monstrosity that is a threat to multiple planets or even the entire Prime Galaxy, or the other dimensions as well! The number of Abominations that have ever come into being is a single digit number.
