Great work, it seems you put much love in it)
Unlike those guys up in the comments, I love that state and system, and enjoy having it as a part of my personal history. Every system has its faults, and claiming USSR as something entirely wrong just proves the strength of propaganda; the latter obviously originates in fear, that some ideas of communism can attract too many people.
So-- cheers)

Man, I'm still pissed that my parents waited 4 years to have me. I could've lived in Soviet Moscow for 4 years, and it would've been great.

have you ever lived in a communist country?

I lived and I know there were PLENTY of positive things about it; just because Stalin misused his power, doesn't mean Karl Marx was a murderer. Read his works and you'll see why Lenin got so inspired about it.

I understand that. I also know plenty of people who have experienced travesties under communist governments, and I think it's unfair for outsiders who have not experienced it to support it.

Ideally, communism is a great idea. Name one really great communist leader who hasn't become a tyrant. Now name a few who have.

Hey, it ain´t Marx´s fault that communism goes against the basic human instinct to abuse power.

Personally, I´m a communist in 60% (as in, 60% of all my political views are communist), I know the ups and downs it has had throughout history and believe that socialism and communism united are a wonderful thing and that we need more of it, so long as we compliment it with a communist parliament distribution also, which, as far as I can see, no communist government has EVER had.

I never said Marx's views were at fault.

In the end, a vector graphic does not glorify or support anything.

Please get off my page, kthx

It isn't really about how they exploited the idea; everybody understands it in their own way, plus human nature is bound to be selfish and act for its own benefit. In general "isms" end up really bad, because they imply dealing with extremes. Extremes are always gay; we should better try to find something in the middle, that would make us live in a better world. With all the events that I see here in France, where I'm staying at the moment, I can already see capitalism being blamed and called as one of the worst systems ever. But we do enjoy cheap flights, plenty of leisure time and all the luxury items globalization makes us afford, isn't it? It's all so ambiguous!

And the USSR in particular here, it's not that I'm supporting all the failures it had and all the injustice it produced, but I still find that their socialism was the closest to what I believe to be perfect. And it's not necessarily the USSR itself that I "support", but the fact that it existed. EVERY single thing in history has a meaning and an influence on all the following events. USSR was major; it was HUGE. That's what I support. If you want another example, and maybe it would make you understand better what I want to say; I have a sister that is fascinated by the personality of Hitler. She's far from being a Nazi and has nothing in common with the believes of that awful tyrant. It's not these things that she's fascinated about, but of the power Hitler obtained, his history, the way he became so influent.

So, what I'm trying to say, it's not that I deny that USSR has produced a lot of damage on a wide scale. My own people was exploited in Siberia (I'm from the Republic of Moldova) and while we were learning all this in our History class, I was beginning to hate Russians with all my might because they have used us several times. But then, if I think about it, their actions have marked me, even if I wasn't conscious of it; I cannot hate what is now a part of me, because without all this I'd be some other person. Just think about it this way!

What an essay! I agree with you, which is why I find it strange that someone would create an art piece that particularly takes a stance and glorifies it. Like your sister, it's fine she's intrigued with Hitler but would it be okay for her to make a new flashy graphic for the Nazi party because of that?

That's what I'm saying.

Just my opinion. I'll stop commenting, sorry to the artist for taking up this space!
