FINALLY FINISHED MY IVY CUSTOM. <3 <3 <3WIP Pictures: [link]
When I was a kid, my favorite pony was Ivy. I had like four different versions of her... it was crazy. But then there was a huge flood in my hometown and I lost all my toys. So I decided to remake Ivy in G4 form! <3
I used Pinkie Pie as my bait, painted her with acrylics and sealed her with matte Modge Podge, and rehaired her with dollyhair MLP nylon hair in candytuft and twilight. If you have any questions feel free to ask below~

Your custom is wonderful! Ivy was my favorite pony when I was a kid. I wish I still had her (or knew where she was if I did).

Her cutie mark was such a pain... I painted Ivy before I got my detail brush so the little details in her cutie mark were actually painted with a thumbtack. >__<

I had no idea how else to do fine details so I just got a fine point and tried to make due. It made for really gloppy paint jobs so I'm super glad I found myself a little brush.

Oh god I can imagine and I can imagine the headache that would come along with it!
Detail brushes are the best. I tried doing a Monster High custom at one point, and though *I* had no success, the eyes were infinitely easier to paint using the smaller brush than a big one @___@

exactly! i used to collect the heck out of gen 2. Sundance, Lightheart, Ivy, Morning Glory, Sea Breeze! i'd love to see all of those as g4 ponies.

Ivy was my favorite pony from that line as well!<3 and from the friendship gardens~ I wish she could have inspired a background pony or two in the newer series

I can't remember how I imagined her in my mind back then... for some reason I think I may have imagined her to be a calm, collected, benevolent princess of some sort. I guess like present-day Rarity minus the drama? :S
But yeah, I would probably die if Ivy or really any G2 pony ever shows up in the background.

Ohhhh my gosh, I remember Ivy! I still have her at my parents house. (Skyskimmer was my absolute favourite, though. And Lightheart and Sundance and like three others whose names I won't remember until I see them again!)
This is such a cute custom. I recognised her as soon as I saw her! She's done so skillfully.
A question! Is she waterproof with the modge podge?

Awww, Ivy was my fave one too, but I only had the magic motion version. Today I already lost all of her accessories, and my dog bit her a little in her leg D:
But last St. Valentine's day, my boyfriend managed to buy me a new one, still in her blister, I was so happy I cried a lot xDD And now I want to make myself one new custom like yours, but first I have to complete my G4 collection :3

The most incredible thing, is taht it was an spanish edition (I'm spanish xD), but here in Spain, ponies weren't that much popular, so they only brought like 9 or 10 ponies from the huge amount of G2 ponies. So finding a new one here is VERY rare xD That's also the reason why I only had Ivy when I was a kid ;w;
