"Lau, what are you doing here?"
The short blue eyed earl asked the tall Chinese man. Lau and Ranmou had been annoying Ciel for the past few days.
"We only came to....visit."
The way he said that made Ciel not trust him even more...
"Fine. Sebastian!"
"Yes, Young Master?"
"See to it that our uninvited guests don't do anything...horrible."
"Yes, my Lord."
Ciel loved the way his butler said that. It gave him chills. The young Phantomhive cared for his butler very much. But he knew it wasn't right and it was a one-sided love anyway. Sebastian only wanted his soul, and with that thought, Ciel sighed.
"Earl, before you leave, have you ever heard of the Red String of Fate?"
The Chinese man grinned at Ciel's confused face.
"The what?"
"Young Master, the Red String of Fate is an old myth. It's said that there's a strand of red string that connects one's pinky to another. It means that those two people are destined to be together forever."
Ciel glared at Lau. The man asked this question on purpose.
"Thank you for the information, but I have other things to attend too."
"Bye Earl-!"
That was the last thing Ciel heard before he slammed the spare room door shut.

"So, Mr. Sebastian, who do you think your red string is tied too?"
The butler glared at Lau.
"I have no idea."
"Well I do! I think it's-"
"Lau, I do not wish to hear about your silly made up theories."
Lau pouted.
"But don't you want to know who you'll be with forever?"
"Forever?"
Ranmou repeated.
"No, I do not."
Sebastian picked up the empty tea tray and left the room angerly. Lau always messed with his Young Master. The butler hurried to the kitchen to drop off the empty tea tray and make a little cake for Ciel.
"I think I already know who I'm tied too."

"Red String of Fate, huh?"
Ciel was very curious to find out who he was tied too. He figured it to be Elizabeth, she was his fiance after all. The boy sat at his desk and thought about this for a while.
"What if it isn't Elizabeth? What is it's-"
But a knock on the door stopped Ciel from finishing his sentence.
"Come in!"
Sebastian walked in carrying a small tray.
"I've brought you a snack, Young Master."
"Thanks..."
Ciel looked at his butler intently, then glanced at his own pinky. The butler noticed this and smiled.
"Young Master, what are you thinking about?"
"It's none of your concern!"
Ciel's face heated up.
"If it is bothering my master, I think it is."
Sebastian set the tray with cake on it down onto Ciel's desk. He then stared at the young Earl and blue met red as their eyes locked. The demon smiled.
"Might it have to do with what Lau said earlier?"
The blue finally looked the other way.
"Ah, so it is. Who's string your connected to is the question."
the demon butler walked closer towards his master.
"W-what are you doing?!"
Ciel stammered as Sebastian grabbed him hand. The butler locked his large pinky around the boy's small pinky.
"If I had any say, I would hope that your string was connected to mine."
Sebastian smirked at the shocked face his master had. It was...cute. The butler removed his and got up to leave. He had already had enough fun today. Just as he was leaving the room, he heard Ciel mumble something...
"Me too...."

"Ranmou, I think they forgot about us...."
"Forgot about us."
