Very few mocs seem to be generally unsettling without any really "unsettling" features. This guy... He creeps the FUCK out of me! Idk why... His design is quite intuitive and I admire how you managed to make something like this so complex. The only nitpick I can think of is the hand connections you used to build the center of the torso. It always bothers me when people use it for some reason, but I dont think thats a very good critique.

Creepy crawlies give me the creeps, but this is just awesome!

This is a pretty awesome concept. I really like what you have so far. I do however think you can do better. I think this is a good first version, but is something you should expand upon or revisit when you can. I suggest you do some careful studying of actual Centipedes or Millipedes to see which one you'd rather attempt(though this one definitely looks more like a centipede), and carefully take note of their general shapes, extreme variations to know what kind of interesting things you could implement in your MOC, as well as noting the common characteristics that way you know your MOC has to have a specific feature.

True enough, this was more of a quick build/tablescrap that just had to be done 'cause I could. I can definitely improve in technique as I still have equally more mantax pincers as were used in this moc. I may not be sure if I want to redo this however.

Ahh okay. Well for what it's worth, I think you should. Damn you have even more? Did you get em off bricklink or something, damn, that's a lot.

Yup, I got them from bricklink. A store from Hungary I think was having a nice sale, which had conditions for taking all the parts of whatever part you chose from the inventory of Bionicle-related pieces. Total black Mantax pincers was 44 I think. There was also 33 orange bohrok eyes, a couple dozen white large figure tails... all kinds of stuff. My upcoming mocs will show a lot of the ordered pieces.
PS. I write in small because I'm a bit obsessed with compact sizes.

Oh nice. I've wanted to do that, just spend a bunch on large quantities of "fun" stuff, but because I lack a lot of connectors and like small lift arm parts(general parts used for connecting other parts together) or I need specific parts for a MOC I haven't made that kind of order. I've only done it on a small scale.
Ah I see. I'm visually impaired, so the small text is a real strain for me. I've noticed other people always make their text small every time and its like "why, what does it matter?" I guess they probably feel the same way you do, they like compact sizes.

Dang you. Your suggestion of revisiting the theme made me think about it unconsciously and now I figured out a new technique to execute a more tighter placement of legs. Might aswell try it while I remember it...
Won't exactly look realistic though if I use the same legs as in this. Hmm... Maybe I can figure an alternative...
...Yup, I have another idea...

Well good I'm glad. You should revisit this, and hey, its always good to get the creativity flowing.

What must be done has now been done!
This is epic!
It reminds me more of a centipede though, since a millipede's legs are ultra close together, while the legs of a centipede are spaced apart like they are on the MOC.

Ah, I see. I honestly don't know the difference between the two, since in my language both have the same general name.

Millipede
Centipede
In this case a millipede would have like twice as many of the mantax claws as this does. I hope this helps. Wikipedia has pages in different languages, can you find both pages in your native language?

Well that cleared some things up. Both are subspecies of the general name we use, which is probably why the difference is less significant here. We call the general species literally "the thousand legged", while millipedes are "the twin legged" and centipedes "the runner legged" respectively. We use neither sub-name in our general speech, only the general name.

Why do you make all your text smaller to read? It makes it very difficult to see.
Aahhh, well now you know. Glad I could help.

That's alright. I was just giving you a little heads up so that you'd know.
