Description
Each of these guys is a fusion of two protectors:-Water + Ice = Defender of Arctic, The Artillery
-Jungle + Stone = Defender of Savanna, The Hunter
-Fire + Earth = Defender of Scorched Lands, The Berserker
All the new pieces involved in the new Bionicle sets just give so much potential for even minimalistic mocing. If it only takes two protectors to build one of these guys, I have to top my hat to LEGO for giving something worth buying. Just one more thing to do and that is to fuse them all into a Protector Nui.

Wait a sec, you said that you made them with parts only from the Protectors, right ? Then why it is that the Defender of Scorched lands uses a standard body frame ?
Not trying to implement anything here, I still love them.

Look a bit closer. DoSL has two frames clashed together. His lower body is an upside-down torso piece while the upper body is another one. See the two balljoints on his belly and you get the idea. I simply connected them in a way that gives the moc the tallest possible body. He's the only one of the three to have 5-stud wide hips.
In fact, all of them are in skeleton made of two combined torso pieces. I just did the combining in different ways, so their appearances have variation. By far, the most 'basic' of them is DoA, as his torso is two standard frames on top of each other, with the back one only 1 stud higher.

I'm afraid not. I have already taken them apart for my Protector Nui project.

Good to know I'm not the only one who played around with the idea of a combo MOC.

Wonderful work! Really good alternative idea to create The Protectors into The Defenders. To me That DoA is really good looking, but the other two defenders opened my jaw! I especially love that Defender of Scorched Lands MOC, because how that shape is muscular and the overall look!
Impressive work I gotta say!

Yeah, this was a throwback to the G1 Bionicles. Up until the Inika they always had combo models, even for the matoran sets. I found out this way that the same applies for G2. The fact that I could make them this diverse confirms a big improvement in set design on lego's part. And combo models were part of the fun back in the day, especially with the titan sets. What could be more fun than collecting a full set so you can make something even more awesome? Botar, Kardas and Ultimate Dume were the shit back then.
