Description
Taken at work (for the City Council), during the final of the Tall Ships' Races (Szczecin 2007). This vessel bears a fine name 'Gallant'. I must say it suits the ship perfectly.When all the ships were leaving Szczecin, I was invited to accompany them on their way to the Baltic, which was about 100 km. Speeding on a motor boat (40 knots of max speed) was really fun. I took many photos, some of which are to be sold as prints (not on dA though).
It was pretty calm most of the time but later on, some waves managed to reach the board. My UV filter looks awful after a shower of salty water. I'm glad the camera itself is OK. Anyway, it was worth the loss

Chmury były niestety raczej płaskie. Całe niebo wyglądało tak sobie, musiałem przystawiać filtr przyciemniający żeby się nie przepaliło na zdjęciu. Jakkolwiek sam statek wyglądał wspaniale

What a gorgeous ship.. I wanted to go see the Tall Ship Races here in Finland, but had to miss it

I got to work as a volunteer for the City Council. I helped them organize the crew programme. I spent all the time close to the port so I had many an occasion to shoot the ships (with a canon, not a cannon
