I think a portable HDD doesn't make yours more slow than usual ^^
But anyway, 1TB is too big for me to use them all xD
Maybe, I bought my PC about 2 years ago, it took over 180,000 yens ( = 1827 dollars) at that time.(Please read my latest journal if you want to know more ^^ )

this one was about 600 to 700$ itself. it has a hard drive space of 320 gits and a rram sleep of 3 gits. it a new computer if i said so myself. it a vista as well. this computer is one of the best i have every gotten to use. it works like a champion. lol

3GB RRAM ? That's really interesting for me because RRAM is remarkable RAM
Yours seems desktop PC according to capacity of RAM, though I can't judge your PC well because you didn't wrote about CPU and Graphic board, but anyway I'm glad to hear it^^
Well, maybe you already know, but when you want to get more powerful PC, there are some points, so I tell you about it a little for you (I'm sorry it is annoying for you)
First, Please choose more higher CPU. I recommend "Core 2 duo E8000"series < "Core 2 Quad" < "Core 2 Extreme" or i7 series, and I don't recommend "Pentium" or "Celelon".
Second, if you choose vista version, your PC have to over 1GB RAM .I recommend 2GB or 4GB because this OS(Vista) use almost 1GB memories ^^ ; But you need get over 4GB RAM because 32bit PC can't use over 4GB RAM. And if you want use over 4GB memories, you had better choose 64bit PC.
Third, if you plan to get Photoshop someday, your PC should have Graphic card/board, I recommend "GeForce 8600" series or over, but you need not GeForce over 100 Series, it's too expensive now)
Last, when you choose powerful powerful parts, please confirm that it can fit into your PC.
