This meme is made by ~m-u-h-a ([link] ). Thank you, i had a lot of fun with it)Sooo..... i think i did ok. The only problem i had is that copying other people's styles leaves you with a lacking control over the mood and atmosphere (i cannot tell if i drew it myself, but may be it's the point)...
Here is my small comment on it (you can skip it ^____^):
First, my girl from a comics (nothing new here).
Than, yeah, Disney turned out to be the most boring and flat out of the bunch, normally they don't do shadowing... It turned out to look like a frame from a cheap 60s-80s animation, hehe)
CLAMP - i'm really proud of it. What if Sakura was a brunette. I think they changed their style few years ago, i haven't read any new series.
Marvel... more like Dark Horse, but i wasn't trying to copy any particular artist (may be i should have drawn in Liefeld's style
Miyazaki - not the animation, but his comics. Hazy, but looks ok).
Dirge-semi-Vasquez. I think, i went a little lazy with it....
...Because the next one was Ledroit.... And, yes, it was a nightmare, since all his characters are heavily sexualized gothic angry demons (or vampires or witches or...). I don't know... Olivier is just one of a kind, you can't simply copy him)
Chibi - looks like a little fairy, hehe)
Anyway, it was a nice week of style-changing (you can check the rest in my gallery). Now i can return to drawing... something else O____O.

Hello, thank you again for your comment)
I felt a little depressed doing this meme, when i understood, there was no "me" in those drawing.
I think, the style is not just a tool or language to express yourself, but it's your essence, your perseption. So you need to treasure it more.
And, after all, you cannot tell Ledroit's story with Miyazaki's style)

You are always welcome
Yes, I can understand your opinion about style. On the other hand, it is a valuable experience to try imitating someone else. Firstly, it is obviously a polishing of your skills. Secondly, it broadens your artistic capabilities: if understanding of others' works and styles is understanding of their world perception or even their Weltanschauung, then going through this educating process may deepen your own self-cognition as an artist and as an individual.
N'est-ce pas?

Vous avez raison. Like studing other's culture you may begin with studing theirs language, the same may work with understanting one's conception, at least their visual sensation)
