A Moomins picture I did for some reason.
I think the reason might have been to recall childhood nightmares, because there's an episode of the show where the Moomins find out that the Groke is coming and they just spend the episode barricading themselves into their home while their dad goes into the attic and comes down with a shotgun, and the next day they go outside and they find this dead and frozen patch of garden where the Groke had been and the narrator says "they were right to hide, because the Groke came - AS SURELY AS THE GROKE WILL COME AGAIN" and then it ends like that, with everyone terrified of this walking pestilence that can strike them down at any time.
Running into the Groke was something I feared even more than being torn apart and eaten by dogs.
