Some of you may or may not be aware I have an unhealthy obsession with foo dogs/shisa/guardian-lion-dogs.Like many others, Arcanine is probably my favorite Pokemon. I remember drawing this during the pokemon challenge month (which was december, I think?). This has been sitting in my tumblr since then, but I didn't upload it anywhere else. I thought I'd get around to giving it shadows or texture but at this rate I ought to just upload the flats anyway.

Arcanine is probably one of my personal favorites too, and I think he looks absolutely epic as a foodog! I almost have to wonder if when they originally made Arcanine if it was part of their plan that he was a sort of 'foodog'. This just looks like such a 'natural' look for this guy. I think I'm going to have to go look at Arcanine pictures now, just because I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T look like this! haha. Epic job~

I had remember reading Arcanine were based on Shisa, so we both thought right. 
So basically yes I figured let's see what one would look like more directly resembling one with the swirls in the mane and such.
