Messing with Ubuntu and noticed OpenMSX, featuring another cute penguin with a bellybutton. I looked it up and found out to be this guy. Pentarou, created by Konami.

Pentarou was one of Konami's first creations. Believe it or not, Tux the Linux Mascot was born in the midst of Nintendo's Golden Age with Rareware, in 1996, two years after Diddy Kong's debut. Pentarou, on the other hand, was created in the previous decade, during the 80's.

Pentarou and his parents, Penta and his girlfriend, are the main characters out of many penguins created by Konami which have bellybuttons.

is going to love this: many penguins in those Konami games have belly buttons as their weak spots that the player has to aim at.
