I have no idea how to tag this? I gave it a filter because its kinda body horror-y kinda sorta or something. I haven't been posting stuff much lately and thats because Uni is kicking my ass.Anyway this is for my 3rd Year game making a the whole thing by myself is not proving easy.
These are the 2 main characters that you can go to for side quests besides your companion. There are a few other characters but they're openly hostile. Basically this whole thing is one of those 'you wake up and you're in another world' kinda cliche games but I'm gonna have fun with it anyway.
I'm making an interactive narrative game in Unity with the Fungus plugin
Any feedback on the designs or first impressions would be much appreciated.

Excellent work on overall art style, really punched me in the gut if you know what I mean. My main beef is the stitches on the thin man's head which seem a bit out of place until I notice the stitches on its stomach mouth. I also feel its head could use a bit more internal structure (less floppy, more like a piece of anatomy than a flesh blob unless flesh blob was what you were going for in which case great job and also ew cause "flesh blob"). My advice would be if you plan on adding a detail like that, maybe make it a bit more prevailing, like with the vulture's apparent love of arms (weird but I won't judge, you get those arms if that's what you want). Again, great work. Don't forget to eat food, drink water, and sleep well while working on this game, and good luck!

With the vulture, of you made it in a more bony and thin style. "The deprived." Wouldn't be a bad name.

Delightfully horrific. I prefer the Vulture's design over the Thin Man, as I feel the former's is a more dynamic and distinct look, particularly the arms wrapped around his torso. His face reminded me of the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth, which is really cool.

I dunno if this would be too much to say since this isn't my project but if you're still having trouble with the thin man's head why not make the stitches travel around the back of his head and come to a stop at his eye and the whole piece twist open? Kinda like the movement of a ghouls kagune. I don't know, just an idea.

This looks awesome.
My only critique would be the stitch and/or lack of stitches on the thin man. I don't know if there are more on his back or on his body, but I feel like the design would look more complete if there were various other maimed pieces that had required stitches of some sort rather than just on his face. The elongated head actually doesn't bother me in contrast with the other comments, and I think it adds to the idea of him being "thin". I also think that maybe adding some more facial features would add more depth to the character. Maybe scarred holes/rough scabbed skin for where his ears used to be, or add prominent cheekbones to accentuate how narrow and "thin" his bony face is?
Idk the designs looks great imo and I'm just trying to find something to say when really I'm satisfied with this piece as it is anyway haha XD

I'm not going to mention anything ability wise... because I already know you can draw and I love your style. On to the critique.
I really like the design of the one on the left. The arms give it a feeling of obsession. The lack of most of face makes it more focused on such feeling, as it doesn't need sight/smell/hearing etc. I do enjoy the mouth there and the throat (ripped out or discolored? either way seems great) gives a secondary danger feeling. The hands... they're everywhere. I love it.
The one on the right I like parts of. I enjoy the asymmetric-ness of the arms and legs. I like the mouth coming through the chest. It's a great placement. The face seems to be missing something. It seems like the only thing that's off in the piece. It could be terrifying, but the single eye on a slab of flesh seems to make the rest of it toned down to a medium. Ever think about putting a bag over it's head? Like a "I'm fucking terrifying, and I can see you, but you'll never know what I look like and will forever be in your imagination"?
I think that would go great with your game XD

A lot of people have pointed out that there is something not quite right with the thin man's head. The eye is an important part of the design so I have to keep it but I need to tie it in better. I was thinking maybe having it stitched open like the other guys mouth and giving the head more anatomical structure??? what do you think?

It's hard to decide something when I already had an idea for it myself haha, but I'll try. It's kinda like how I saw obsession with the hand guy. (I saw, upon character death, that if one were to wait before clicking the 'continue' that the camera would move off to the side bit by bit. Then you hear your character scream a little. Some smooshy/gory sounds and you see a bit of Mr. Hands... holding onto a new hand. Just kind of hiding it to himself and the player like "what are you doing with that hand? don't hide it I already saw it") For the eye guy I see I was envisioning something to put more emphasis on the awesome mouth that was in the chest. Seeing as how it likes nothing, I would have given it a more withdrawn personality, which in normal movements being able to walk, but once in a while sorta hobble from it's limb deformity. Adding onto the eye doesn't feel right, like it's too much? Almost making a separate character altogether.
Eyes... windows to the soul, seeing all to understand, ignorant. A people pleaser, but sinister. I can see the eye character having a protruding vertebrae. Keeping the original shape of the face, of course, I think purple irises would really fit him, makes it easy to change color for different areas. I would keep him thin, more boney. Sorta make the body smaller to put more emphasis on the head so the eye stands out as it's main attribute (I think the mouth on it was what was causing the feeling, too much attention on another area)
Crazy ideas. Please use anything for your game. Even if anything I said you don't use, but made you think of something entirely different would be great!

i love the ideas of the characters, but when i look at them i feel like the concept can still be pushed farther....and just a little tip, maybe try to make things less symmetrical.. oh well ....

They're not suppose to fit >.> the arms don't belong to him i.e he stitched them on. I should probably make that more clear with its design.

Fungus is a plugin for Unity that does all the coding for you. Well I can code but my knowledge of it is very limited and it takes me ages to get the code to work.

I love the vulture's design a lot! It's very unique and draws the eye over all of it. The face and midsection in particular are really neat!
However, the thin man's head seems somewhat out of place. I think it's the eye. It almost doesn't feel pronounced enough? Or just doesn't seem to fit right. Maybe try an upwards-facing mouth at the top of its head instead of an eye? Up to you of course.
Overall these are some really cool designs, and I wish you all the luck and motivation towards your project!
