Just a quick painting/drawing >.<Mermaid and her shark companion are hunting. People usually make them friends with dolphins...but we all know sharks are far more awesome.

Whenever I look at this image, I like to imagine that mermaids actually love sharks unlike humans who kill them for their fins or out of irrational fear.ย

Mermaids Are half human half fish, top half is more human, bottom half is more fish. So why not have hair on a mermaid? 
I do think though, logically (unless the water stunts her hair growth, or maybe the half fish in her stunts it.) with how old she (looks) is. Shouldn't her hair be longer? ย I don't think they cut their hair, maybe its all those split ends 
Of course a mermaid could be bald though, I guess. Hmmmm, well they aren't REAL so we will never know ^u^ to bad :<ย

Well I guess if she ate meat she could be using the shark.
Like she is a vulture of the sea. Picking up left overs not eaten by the shark because her jaws are not big or powerful enough to get as good of kills as the shark would.
And she wouldn't need to eat nearly as much.

Are mermaids mammals? I always wondered whether their tails go up and down like dolphins and manatees or side to side like fish.
