Katara is not impressed...I am loving this show.. ( to all the people surprised that I have only started watching it now...we don't all have the luxury of sitting around and watching cartoons all day...capiche?)

Then once she got a master, the writers forgot about the whole "not a natural talent" thing and made her more powerful than pretty much every waterbender within the span of a week at most.

There was a line, saying she worked her ass off, before and after she met the macho guy. We saw her doing supplemnetary hours while aang was justΒ snooping around
Dont forget it's the avatar, of course he is better than most at learning bending, that's sort of his job? This does not mean she doesnt have a natural talent compared to regular people, she is the quite litteral embodiment of the water bending philosophy. Souple, empathic, adaptative...
Also, most of the waterbender she met were stronger? His master, the guy with vegetal bending + the bloodbending witch had way more skill

Poor Katara. I loved that scene. I love how it goes from Aang being a natural to Katara becoming a master and teaching Aang better waterbending in the show. I love the use of color and their expressions.

I remember watching an episode when Katara was teaching Ang to water bend. Another, but I watched it in Spanish, Katara's brother made a joke that he has a boomerang. I think he said his name is boomer, or someone else.. and his friend is Ang. Boomer-Ang. I barely understood it at all. I don't speak Spanish fluently yet, and I watched it with one of my third cousins when my mom, bro and I visited our Cuban family last year.
