-Freddie Highmore (Bates Motel 2013) Who's pilot was decent enough, I'm looking forward to the next episodes
-Kurt Paul (Bates Motel 1987) Not too keen on the tv-movie, or Paul as Bates
-Henry Thomas (Psycho IV 1990) Meh, in a meh movie
-Vince Vaughn (Psycho 1998) I hate this movie. and Vaughn as Bates. I can say fuck from the bottom of my heart and it still won't tell you how much I hate this re-make.
And am I the only one who though Vaughn's giggling was annoying as fuck?!

I got curious about the Psycho remakes and when I was watching the intro I discovered the composer for that film was (get this) Danny Elfman.

Yeah. I only just now (as of 2015) know about when was searching for some of Elfman's works on Google Play. Then sure enough the whole soundtrack was there.

the bates motel is pretty much a remake

well to be fair bates motel only has the same name as the 87 bates motel, but the plots are totally different. Cause in the original bates motel norma was dead and this Alex West guy, a mentally disturbed youth who was admitted to an asylum after killing his abusive stepfather. There he befriends Norman Bates and ends up inheriting the Bates Motel when Norman dies.
And in the 2013 it's about Norman, Norma and Dylan. It shows alot more insight of how they lived with each other, what happend to his dad, and what drove Norman to become what he is in the 60's movie (even if it's in present time)
And in my opinion, Bates Motel 2013 is muuuuuuuuuch better then the 87 tv pilot.
