I took my girlfriend to an arboretum to take photos and play with bubbles. I was hoping to capture more color in the bubbles, but I thought this shot came out pretty well.Related content

The sky is the thing that really strikes me most in this photo. Very pretty.

Thanks for the compliment. I'd never photographed bubbles before, so I was pleased with the effect. I wish the bubbles had been...hmm, I dunno. Brighter, I guess. Something to try for next time, though.

wow. very cool picture. bubbles are kickass with all there colorful goodness. and i dig the ray of light shining down right in front of the person. and i know its too late for this, but maybe a future attempt?--getting the person in the shot more. and being able to see what they're doing. like, i wanna say blowing the bubbles, but at a glance it looks like drinking the soapy bubble stuff. :shrugs: im strange i know.

No, not strange- that's a great suggestion. I had to sacrifice some of the human subject to get the light and the bubbles in, too, but that's a great idea for a future picture. Thanks for the constructive compliment- please keep sending those my way.
