Description
This is of the outdoor stable beams on a farm in Montana. It was originally a color photograph, but I sepia tinted it to make the textures stand out more.Related content

Thanks so much. The sepia really made it work, I think.

The corral is indeed old, and the back drop doesn't get anymore goregous than Montana. Again, thank you so much for the words and the fave.

Wow this is cool - you should put a note in your description to fullview - you get so much more of the detail when that happens xD

I like the framing of the distant hills/sky from the wood. I think it really works in Sepia.

Thanks for the compliment, Dolly. I like the original photograph, but I'd have to agree with you and say no color is better for this piece.

Cool! Looks very creapy! Great shot!
How did you tinted the picture? It's not a regular sepia tinted picture.

monkeybug In reply to KoosG [2004-08-03 16:50:07 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for the compliment! And the tinting was done in photoshop by sepia tinting and then I'm pretty sure I added a slight "newspaper" effect.

It gives me a pretty hard Stephen King feeling for some reason. The warmth gives it sort of an eerie feeling, but the simplicity ads a ring of desditude. Which I can't spell, but like.

"Surreal" came to mind for me, too, when I saw it in sepia. I really like that it got all eerie and foreboding looking.
