The necklace is one I made from an old typewriter key for my girlfriend on an anniversary. The meaning would be a personal one, but I still liked the photo from an artistic standpoint because of the black/skin contrast.Related content

Cool idea. I love how the shirt forms an internal frame around the necklace, guiding my eyes directly toward your subject. The light also enhances this focus on the necklace, since it illuminates mostly the area around the jewelry. The soft and selective light also helps to produce a very intimate feel, complementing the subject matter of the shot. You may want to have included a tiny bit more of the girl in the frame, as this would allow the viewer to more immediately recognize what that "tan thing" is and thus heighten the shot's intimate quality. Cool shot, though.

I think the key for a necklace is a great idea. The photo is very balanced, too, with the light and dark tones and the dark center piece.

I really liked the asymetrical balance, too. I was pleasantly surprised when the photo was developed and the black was tempered, not overpowering.
