Okay, no more of me tilting my head back, it never works. That's why my expression looks weird, it was painful to look at the camera with my head tilted so far back.

It's just I think that if I were truly being defiant, I wouldn't have my head twisted as far away from you as possible while still trying to look at you, it's a very unnatural pose. Defiance seems to me more like staring the person straight down, or something.

Challenging because the chin is raised? I dunno, I still think it's a kick-ass photo. But like you said, not a natural pose for someone. Must. redo.

Love her style. Very cool, she herself is also very pretty and suits the style so well. I really like the picture a lot but only thing bugging me is she looks a bit self conscious like she nervous about a picture being taken. She looks like she is trying not to show it, but still looks that way.

Humm, I was going for defiant, not self-conscious, so I'll have to work on that if I re-shoot this. She really does have this effortless style, too, and like you said, wears it well.

Now that you've mentioned that I can definitely see it, but first impression for me personally is selfconscious. If you redo it I think maybe have the head not tilted quite as far back or at least play with the angle of the head some. And the main thing that kind of tells me selfconscious is her right arm. I know whenever friends or I put our arms in front of our stomachs especially directly across(Instead of like angled and relaxed) it's 'cause we are selfconscious of our stomachs and are trying to hide it. Kind of silly thing to do, but thats what we all do on instinct. Not sure if it's a common thing or just common among my friends though.

It does make sense, thanks. I think it's a girl thing in general to put your arm in front of your stomach area because most of us are self-conscious about that part. Thanks so much for commenting on that-- I didn't mean for her arm to read like you interpreted, but I see it, too, now that you point it out. Very much appreciated.
