Definitely a cool shot. Balance, composition, treatment.... Cool tree.

Plus its really difficult to take a shot of a tree from any other angle such as; above it for instance. And it is a cool tree. The contrast between branch and sky is just perfect. Anything else behind it would have lessened the dramatic effect.

Thanks. I was a little worried about submitting a tree photo from such a predictible angle-- below it. But I thought the tree itself made up for the mundanity of the shot. It really is a cool looking tree.
