Cute! Occurs to me as being a little scenish, but maybe I just have the mindset of an old fart.
I'm not an expert on shoes (or any type of clothing or fabric painting, really) but from what I know, you may wish to invest in some fabric paint instead of using acrylics if you want to wear these, as the acrylic is probably prone to cracking badly and ruining them.

With the cracking;
Acrylics dont make the shoes 'hard' or anything (They actually still kind of feel like cloth; I wasnt expicting that either okay). I know i sound kind of stupid when I say "They dont feel like they are going to crack," but . Thats the only way to say it.
I varnish them afterwards with acrylic varnish (Im also thinking of trying out wood varnish) so i think they'd be okay as long as you dont run miles in them.
Some people use acrylics on shirts, so I guess shoes are pretty okay too.
Thanks, though. I'll think about what you said and all. Though I think the varnish is pretty strong to hold them up if you take care of them.

Like I said, I'm not an expert, so I'll obviously leave that one up to you. I just folded one of my acrylic practise-doodles completely in half and it didn't crack at all, but I have been warned that acrylic can crack if it's worn.
