Lydia Deetz was my first cartoon character crush. Funny how the voice actress went on to voice Claire in the Resident Evil games.

You are always so self critical. It may not match the original perfectly, if that was your goal, but it looks better. The original work doesnt inspire me to consult rule 69 at all. This level drawing would have me hoping for an example of rule 69.

Looking at everything again I can see how you think that. I am not familiar with all the source material from your other work. I really am not a furry guy so that work doesn't do much for me. I also really love the Albino cyborg. I think puddin is an improvement from source material but not on your top level work.
I really love the mollyverse stuff. I like it enough that I am torn when you "improve" on characters like Evey and Charlotte. The new designs are better but the old ones are good enough.
The Lydia picture is good enough and molly enough that she makes me want to convert elements of her to the mollyverse as a reference for new character. I would lose the spiderweb wrap thing and change the skin color a little change the hair to a bob cut with a beret and you have a french exchange student/teacher.

hmm... that's a rather good observation about Lydia and changing her to a different character. That's something I'll take into consideration.
I had some specific reasons for changing Charlotte and Evey. Evey because she looked too much like Molly with a different hair-do. And I changed Charlotte so she'd look a little less like Angelica.

I really think the albino cyborg is a good base for a tomboy athlete character. I wouldn't make her an albino though. The Puddin character has some potential as a base too but I am not sure where to go with her.
Evey was a vast improvement and you hadn't done much with her so the change was no big deal.
Charlotte looks better with the new look but it changes the consistency. I think having a big portfolio is one of the things you need the most if you want to go to the next level. I see that you are adding lots of new material and getting paid to produce it while getting in practice, which is great. The problem now though is that Charlotte's best appearance the car wash isn't consistent anymore. Realistically you aren't going to go back and fix it. I don't even think it would be worth it compared to producing new material.

Puddin and the cyborg are other people's characters. I think I'd feel weird if I explicitly based some of my own characters on them. I'd rather base new characters off of real people. It'll give me more unique designs and more interesting character personalities.
Yeah its really not worth going back and changing things. I just have to hope people realize they are the same character and move forward.
True, I lose consistency over a body of work but Mickey mouse didn't always look like he does today.

I would rather see you do new work than update the old work. and the new designs are better than the old ones. It wasnt so much a critic as it was an observation. I try to write and some times you have to quit conceptualizing and create only to find out you don't like it and have to rewrite it when you should have spent more time conceptualizing.
the cyborg character i dont know if i saw the referance work so I cant tell how much of her look is you and how much is creator.
Your version of puddin is pretty distinct from the referance picture i saw. so my love of your version of puddin is because I like your work. Jewel I really like regardless of where she came from I would change the hair color and maybe the skin tone a bit and she would make a great tomboy character.
Really I have been focusing on Puddin and Jewel because I have been ranking your non molly work. And aside from Lydia thats my favorite.

I'm not sure where the jewel references are. Sadly I can't remember the owner's DA name. I could probably figure it out.
I do recall I did alot of translating of that character. The source, if I recall correctly, was standard anime. So there probably is a bit of my own interpretation in there.
The Puddin character, looks pretty similiar to the source, not exactly but close enough that I wouldn't use it for any design on my own character.
I'm surprised you've only been looking at those few OCs that I've done. Granted a large chunk of my parody work isn't on DA and until recently I've really been neglecting it. I wanted to do some more parody for October, to get in the Halloween spirit so to speak but its been hard to find the time.
