This is interesting, but out of curiosity-- is this Avalon related to the one founded by George Calvert? Because the Calvert one was in Newfoundland...
And assuming that the "1440" is a date... what's up with the names? Jefferson, for instance, is named for a guy who doesn't live for roughly 300 years after 1440... Same with Washington. Columbus (Columbia) was alive... but was Amerigo Vespucci (America)?
