This gtk theme is pretty near ready to roll - just working on the insensitive text and testing.. If you have any ideas or suggestions for this themes development, I'd appreciate that...Update! First release built and tested with Karmic and Jaunty

however, i absolutely hate how visually demanding darker themes are. i used to get headaches trying to use them, so i don't use them anymore.

Hey,
I really like the theme. The only downside is that for some reason, this is one of those themes there I cannot change the colors under Appearance. When I go to the color tab, all I get is:
The current controls theme does not support color schemas
I wish there was some way to change that. I was looking to darken the light-gray a bit because the blue washes out in the gray on my monitor.
It looks like you are using some blue close to: #066BA0. You can probably keep the same color look, but desaturate it a little to provide better contrast over the gray. Like a: #307FDA, #59B4FF or #4180FF

I changed over to linux about 2 years back on advice from some Americans I'd been talking to back then one a computer professional said he would rarely use windows since he had installed linux. I thought really and gave it a go failed first time but tried again a few months later...
The learning curve ain't that steep it's more just breaking from old habits. I love linux and only boot into windows well practically never.... My girl tried it and did not like it so she has stuck with win and is happy.
To some it up I'd say give it a try but it'll probably take a few weeks before you are comfortable and have everything set up the way you like.

Everything is just fine except for the "Combo box Entry" and the
"Gtk entry", they are too glossy, unlike everything else.
But It's definitely good!

Thanks Power Patrick I'll give your suggestions consideration as I struggle with it... I find the code can be a little limiting but where possible, I'll try and do my best with it.

Well done! It's a really nice window theme you've done there.
But is it practical enough to be used? Just remember to submit it to Gnome-Look.
I would also suggest that you change name, because it's already being used: [link]
One other thing is that I don't like are those kind of title buttons. They're too generic and isn't fitting, since this doesn't look like a minimalistic theme. The scrollable table and buttons should be a bit transparent in this case, because it really overlays between the light and shadow. The same about the dropdown boxes, because they do not get the same reflection angle. Overall, this is really good.
