Stopped for an impromptu hike at Red Rock national Park and only had my phone to take photos, but even my terrible camera phone can not ruin the beauty of this gorgeous place.Related content

I love red rock country!!! I have spent a lot of time crawling over desert stones, picking off prickly pear cactus, and watching lizards dart from place to place... I miss being a desert rat... Another wonderful shot Ms. Style!!!

Oxidation of the iron minerals in the sediments cause the red colors of many of the rocks. This area area has a fascinating geological past that is began hundreds of millions of years ago and if you are ever in Las Vegas you should definitely try to visit the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area!
