We have desert tarantulas here in southern Nevada.Β Β A mature tarantula weighs several ounces and has eight four-inch long legs appended to a body that's two or three inches long. We are in tarantula breeding season now through October so hopefully I'll be lucky enough to get some tarantula shots soon.Β

Haha, thanks. Don't be scared. They truly are rather docile... unless you are a spider, then she may lay her eggs in your face after she paralyzes you and drags you into a hole.Β

Try to be brave! They really do not have any interest in stinging humans. Only the females sting and they save that for unfortunate spiders which they hunt to feed their young.
