An old photograph of the only snake that sat still long enough to take a few shots, they normally slither away pretty quickly.It's also the same snake from my gallery icon except It didn't notice me yet

You must be from the East half, we saw a garter that did this down in Southern Ontario- My mother freaked out, we sort of chuckled about it because we were pretty sure he was harmless.

Haha, yes they are pretty harmless. Any animal can still bite but they usually scurry away.
They have a good sense of who not to mess with.

It's an eastern garter snake, they're pretty common around here. Hard to spot sometimes though.
