Thanx 2 ~snapsalot for the phone call at 04:00 am warning this storm was on the way. It travelled from Bacchus Marsh to St.Albans in about 20 mins. The Bureau of Meteorology advised this storm didnt drop much rain and was travelling at about 100 km/h.Related content

Dude, I thought so! I had an idea to use a slow shutter, dont get many chances up in Ireland though to test it out lol. Congrats on getting the shots then ^^ Hope to do so meself, someday.

Somedays, yes. Depends really, we do still get days of broken cloud, in various degrees. Some days of clear skies, just very varied (and very changable) weather lol

Damn it! Maybe I should have got up for this storm. Well done mate, this is definately my favourite of all your lightning shots. Very nicely composed, love those powerlines! Next time there's a big storm we'll have to go shoot it together.

all you have to do is set your shutter speed to stay open for 15 - 30 seconds and then take the photo and then take the photo and so on and so forth - till walla and then you get a wicked lightning shot - so good luck
