I had a Holly Hobby oven, which was a lot like the easy bake oven. I nver got a creepy crawlers playset, but I did bull horn and a subscription to National Geographic.

Probably the same thing the one-eyed guy wanted: an Easy Bake oven.

Thank you all very much.

Haha, I had the bug oven thing, and the Die cast REAL METAL molder that melted these little aluminum pellets into stuff like wizards and dragons and a motorcycle. And at 8, REAL METAL was the best selling point ever.

Oh my goodness, I totally had the Creepy Crawlers Plasti-Goop oven! hahaha The kitchen frequently smelled like burnt tires.

Didn't have neither. Instead I had a stick and the local forest and parks were my playground

I always thought the creepy crawlies thing looked cool, but I wanted and had an Easy Bake oven [and 5 original Furbies; 3 babies and the mom and dad].
After a while I got a ton of super awesome easy bake oven accessories and made the coolest and most delicious nonsense ever. My brother loved it because I'd always share my easy bake creations, which were always delicious. I just had to be careful not to get ants in my room. Fuck yeah child hood.

Easy bake oven. I was always so proud to be able to make something pretty and deliciously edible for my parents. I must've been like... 6? 7?
God, long time, long time. We would sometimes use it for cookies.
And then in 2001 I discovered Bionicle and I was hooked forever. Still hooked, even though the storyline's now ended... for now, anyways.

I had both. Hurray for parents that don't believe in strict gender roles! I had an entire shoe box full of creepy crawlers I'd made. And ate a lot of bulb baked cookies. Yum Yum.

I had an easy bake oven it was fun, until it just "disappeared" one day. :I
It was fun to make the little pasties, but looking at what it really was i wonder if everyday i made was actually good for me back then....

I always wanted one of the Creepy Crawlers sets but I kept getting the "it's a boy's toy" line from my father, and "those are disgusting" line from my mother... So I started asking for the set where you made edible zombie candy instead lol

And then we ran out of packets, and I never used it again. I know you can buy more... but we use what it comes with, apparently. Nothing more, nothing less..... *tear*

i wanted an oven too but my parents said it was for girls but i wanted one so i could bake my own damn snacks i didn't care if it was for girls i could of always changed the color with a couple of markers. however my parents stressed the girls toy card and that it was way to expensive. so i settled for a shit ton of ninja turtles

I remember aways wanting both of those, but my mom thought the creepy crawlers and the mad lab thing were gross and refused to get them for me, and she thought the easy bake oven was too dangerous.... *sadface* so I got the cooking with play doh sets...

...I wanted an Easy Bake Oven so bad, but my dad once made fun of a commercial for them so I never got up the nerve to ask for one. And I am a girl. I was just a big tough girl, just like my dad always told me I was.

I had neither because my parents came up with the same lame excuse - "too expensive, we can't afford it" I never had any toys.

I had Creepy Crawlers. Even after all of these years I find the ones I made as a kid scattered about my parents house or in the things I had stored away from my youth. I don't think I cared much about where I left or what I did with the ones I made, since if I lost one I could easily have another five or six of them in an hour.

I got an easy bake oven and alot of barbie toys as a kid from my aunts and cousins. I wanted a race car track and pokemon toys darn it! But...they were "boy toys".
Now I can get any toys I want though! *Runs around like a maniac with My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and Pokemon toys*

Anyone remember the Creepy Crawlers cartoon show they made, which argued that this toy somehow created three giant bug-men superheroes that go around trying to foil some evil sorcerer? I've seen some stretches to make a premise fit with a toy, but come on, that's just being unfair to the kids that played with this thing! They probably thought they were using it wrong when enormous humanoid insects didn't spring out of it, crushing millions of children's dreams.
