Description
The Orffs are a strange race, and thus one of the most interesting. The eye's pupil 'orbits' the iris, which I don't know if is possible or not. The skin is clear, and the inner organs are seemingly visible -- though what is visible are mere distractions, false spots that draw attention away from the real or sensitive organs. They also talk quickly, like the Garatrons, except they don't useThe Orff only had one appearance in the series, and that book took place in a false future where the Animorphs were discovered and the Yeerks took over the Earth.
They are *possibly* the entity/entities that made the false future, since Orffs are the only "new" thing introduced in the book (everything else being taken from Jake's memories).
Also shown are a pair of the neat biological/mechanical handcuffs one Orff 'cop' had.

To mislead an attacker. Someone could try to stab an Orff in the bright blue lung and have their knife/tail blade/whatever broken by a hard bone that only looks like a lung.

Very well done. However:
I think what K.A. meant by the iris orbiting the pupil wasn't that the pupil lay outside the iris (as that would be impossible by definition). I think she meant that the iris's aperture (the pupil) lay on the periphery of the iris whilst moving along the circumference.

Your pupil orbiting your iris would be a bit like your mouth orbiting your lips, so . . . I can only assume it's yet another bizarre anatomical illusion on the Orff's part.
