Description Native to "the fourth moon of the second planet of a dying star," this massive beast is able to spew fireballs out of its eight mouths. Its teeth and very blood are also superheated, giving the impression this is a creature made of fire rather than flesh.

Esplin 9466 Primary morphs into this alien twice (the only "monster" morph he repeats), once as Visser Three and later when he is promoted to Visser One. Each time he does so he utterly overwhelms the Animorphs and devastates the area around him.

This thing... One of the scariest monsters in the series.

i like how the skin folds in the monster's mouths have jaws too, and those claws and feet are distinct, it's like a dangerous alien dragon hydra, also if you look closely to their eyes it looks like they have white star-like pupils.

I believe it's implied that the Yeerk is pulled into Zero-Space along with the rest of the host when a morph-capable host morphs.

That would keep V3 from getting burned by his host's fiery morph, but then how does he survive the vacuum of Z-space?

Ah! I just noticed the little dewclaws on the hands. The way it technically also has eight fingers. Clever!

You gotta wonder if the Visser ever transformed into something he thought was cool but turned out to be useless for his purposes

Halle - bloody - lujah! You're back and the Animorphs are too. Your style's evolved into something remarkable. This detail is stupendous. I can certainly imagine that you hear this all the time, but this deserves an animated series release. It actually reminds me of the styles DC used for Batman: Under the Red Hood. Congratulations. Now, I know your specialty is monsters, but seeing this artwork I can only imagine what the actual characters from the series would look like (The Six, Vissers, Elfangor, etc.)

Oh man, you're doing Animorphs stuff again. This makes me far happier then it has any right to.

i think this is one of the more interesting non-sentient aliens in Animorphs for an RPG based on the books that ive been working on, a friend and i decided that its actually a member of a species known only as "enigmatic shapeshifters" to explain its origins

My favorite part are the heads. They were never really described in the books, so presumably they wouldn't be all that distinct. But these are simple and effective. I especially like the wide, loose, snakelike maws, almost perfectly adapted for projecting plasma, with the biting teeth all the way up front.

This is also the single depiction of it that actually looks more or less natural and not completely overcrowded.

Very nice! Reminds me of an Elder Thing from the Cthulu Mythos, with the radial symmetry and all.

I always wondered how he even got the DNA of this thing. I mean, a lot of his monster morphs raise that question, but this one in particular seems to dwarf the others in terms of its raw destructive power so much so that it seems less like a flesh-and-blood beast and more like a force of nature.

He could have acquired it while it was taking a nap. Even fire demons need to sleep.

It's less "how didn't he get killed?", and more "how did he get DNA from a creature with a description that implies it's made from fire and primal forces of destruction rather than flesh and blood?"

I imagine the Visser abused the hell out of the fact that any physical damage to his host's body would automatically be healed upon morphing. Not to mention since it's not really his body he'd probably be a lot more reckless with it than your typical morph-capable sentient being.
Alternatively, he may have cheated and used conventional weaponry to mortally wound the original creature and acquired it as it lay dieing and defenseless.
