Description
In this drawing I was testing and practicing perspective, specifically 3 point perspective. I was watching a video about point perspective and it is said that you can skew the vanishing points to create certain effects, in which case, I’ve skewed the third point in the sky to create this distorted effect. Typically, artists advise not placing any objects within a certain area with certain perspective drawings because they become extremely distorted, but sometimes this distortion is a desired effect.

In this case, the distortion is very clear with the trees in the distance…

In this drawing I was also testing out aerial perspective, which is the change of value and colour for objects in distance. Videos I’ve watched claim that objects appear redder (or rather the reduction of yellow) in distance, so I tried to simulate that effect as well.

To be honest, I don’t quite like this piece - but I’ve spent too much time on this to not post it.
