These Elemental orbs represent eight of a natural elements that make up elements Z.

Element Z is a magical Life Energy that exists within every living thing on Monterra. Monterrians and Metafauna can channel one the of the eight elements that make up element Z itself. Through evolution and natural selection a species can evolve the ability to use one of the elements in order to adapt and survive. The eight elements being

Fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, ice, light and Dark.

Element Z also exists in crystalized forms, most commonly in the shape of a sphere, depending on location some are extremely rare while other are more common.

These orbs have different elemental abilities depending on the color of the orb.

Red orbs: Fire

Blue orbs: water

Orange orbs: earth

Green orbs: wind

Yellow orbs: lightning

Light blue orbs: ice

White orbs: light/radiant

Black orbs: Dark/umbra

The elemental orbs can used in different ways, Monterrians can use them to enhance their elemental abilities depending what element they possess. They are most commonly used by those who wield melee weapons, by placing a orb in the slot this allows the user to channel the magical life energy through thier weapons. Humans in the Z-Force use element Z infused weapons against Metafauna that weak to a certain element. Besides combat the elemental orbs have others uses, large and powerful red orbs can used by smithy's forges to heat metal, water orbs can be used for to produce water for fountains, electrical orbs can used to power towns and large ones could power an entire city.
