Description: Pyrotaurus are large bipedal reptilian like creatures. They are mostly found in volcanic regions and are the apex predator, however they have been reported living in open tropical rainforests and even arid deserts. These Metafauna well known for thier axe like blades at the end of their tail. The axe tail is used for combat against other males during fights for territory or mates, they are also use it for hunting prey and marking thier territory. Pyrotaurus sharpen thier axe blades on rocks and other hard surfaces.

During mating males will clear out areas of forests or turn areas of desert into glass by using thier fire breath. They will then perform a dance of sorts to impress the females while flapping their arms and showing off for them before showing them their vulnerable neck. If the female accepts they will mate. If she does not she may walk away. When it comes to dominance, the females are the alphas, the males usually watch over the children while the females go off to kill food and bring it home. An aggressive male may be put back in line by the female or even killed in preference for a more subservient male.

Pyrotaurus are very aggressive and dangerous, they have been known to cause wildfires. They are powerful enough to take down Metafauna most predators won't dare take on like Mandrillas or Cerascideans. These apex predators bring the firepower to bring down their prey.

Powers and abilities:

Sharp teeth: Pyrotaurus have powerful jaws for biting through thick hide and crush bone. This can become more deadlier when it combines its fire with its powerful bite to deal a burning damage to prey.

Fire manipulation:

Fire breath: Pyrotaurus can breath fire thanks to fire sacs in its body. It's fire breath can generate temperatures up to 3090°F, hot enough to melt through almost anything. When they are about to breath fire the spikes on thier backs glow as a warning to those who dare face this monster.

Fireballs: They can also shoot balls of fire at opponents that are far away.

Fire spin: Pyrotaurus can trap prey in a ring of fire, those who try to escape will be severely burned. Once the prey is trapped the Pyrotaurus will go for the killing blow.

Axe tail blades: Pyrotaurus main weapon is its axe blades at the end of the tail. When in use it generates heat in its axe up to temperatures of 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit. With this, it's able to cut through almost anything from trees to even metal.

General weakness:

Age: Young Pyrotaurus are vulnerable to predation and rely on thier parents for protection.

Illnesses: Pyrotaurus are susceptible to disease and illnesses.

Injuries: If they sustain serious injuries it could lead them to starvation and most cases death.

Elemental weakness:

Water element: Pyrotaurus are weak to water and it will nullify thier fire abilities. Also they can't swim in water either. Water elemental weapons are the best weapons to use against these predators.
