Description
I'm just so excited to be able to share this with you all, and it's not even the best of photos, but I was blown away to see this stunning creature for the first time ever in person yesterday, never in a million years did I think I would see one, let alone in a garden just round the corner from where I live! It was feeding on lavender in the sunshine, and at first I thought it was a butterfly but soon realised with its unique hovering position what it was. I'll never see a hummingbird in the UK, but this was just as exciting, and it fed from maybe 7/8 flowers before moving on, just hovering constantly. I'll post the front view too although the shot us not as good. www.deviantart.com/montymouse/β¦ Truly thankful for the wonders of nature. πTaken on my Nokia3 smartphone.Related content

Thanks you, I rolled off 14 but it was so fast and fleeting, just so pleased I got a few. ππ

Oh it was, magical, goodness knows what the house owners thought if they saw me on my knees staring into their lavender! π
