These lines are long past due for the ever so patient DatNachtmaehre !!! I promised her some lines a long time ago and forgot
So this her lovely smexy manstag Sir Uriel ! I can only hope I did him justice and can I just say those antlers!!!
I wouldn't want to get into a boarder skirmish with him

A "vector" is an image where all the lines are stored in the computer as mathematical formulas. Because of this, you can save the image as any size you want without loosing details - basically, you can zoom in as much as you want and it'll never look pixelated. To draw a line, you have to tell the computer which points the line passes through, what the line's curvature should be, and how thick the line should be. Then the computer draws the line for you. When you export the image from the program, it gets converted into a normal picture file (.png, .jpg) and it'll still look pixely when you zoom in too much. But while you're working on it in the program, you can zoom in as much as you want. And when you export it to png, you can make the png file as big as you want.
Here's an example of a vector image (most pony fanart that looks like this is vector):
A "raster" is anything that isn't a vector. This is what most people think of when they think of "digital art". If you make your art by drawing freely on a digital canvas, using different bushes, etc, you're probably drawing raster images.

Basically, if you don't know whether your art is a vector, it's probably not a vector.
